    Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo

The Colonial Zone is a historically significant place globally recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Its cobblestone streets and well-preserved colonial architecture provide a unique opportunity to explore the history and culture of the Americas.

    Primatial Cathedral of America

The Primatial Cathedral of America in Santo Domingo gets its name for being the first cathedral built in the Americas. Founded in 1540, it is the oldest cathedral in the New World, notable for its Gothic and Renaissance-style architecture.

    Pantheon of the Nation

Originally built as a 17th-century Jesuit church, it was later converted into a mausoleum housing the remains of the Fathers of the Nation, who played a crucial role in the country’s independence. Today, it stands as a poignant tribute to the nation’s iconic figures.

    Columbus Alcazar

Dedicated to Christopher Columbus, it served as the residence of his son, Diego Colón, in Santo Domingo. This historic building is the first palace in the New World, a gem of colonial architecture that houses a rich collection of art and historical objects.
